Sunday Funday

Sunday we took the Metra downtown and road our bikes along Lake Michigan. We road all the way up to Montrose Beach which is about 8 miles from Union Station. It was perfect weather - sunny and warm with a nice breeze. Unfortunately we forgot to put sunscreen on before embarking upon our journey which resulted in mild sunburns. Nothing that can't be fixed by $2.50 Modelos from the Mexican vender man on the beach. After the beach we met up with Steve and Rachel at Lincoln Park Zoo. We saw the lions, the gorillas (whose excessive PDA captured Rachel's undivided attention... what's new?) and the seals. The zoo was followed by $5 twenty oz. Harps from Galway Arms Irish Pub on Clark and Fullerton (where Irish accents are quite possibly an employment prerequisite). Overall a lovely Sunday, can't wait til next weekend.
