The following was inside the graduation card my grandparents gave me...

"If I could give you anything as you graduate from college, I would give you a candle that burns as brightly as the light within you, the light you are... I would tell you to keep it burning no matter what. I would say don't let the well-intentioned extinguish it. Don't let the mean-spirited blow it out. Don't let your light flicker and fade because of everyday challenges and concerns. The world is large, and NO ONE can illuminate it alone, but it is           A M A Z I N G how a single candle, burning brightly, can light so many others.

I love them. LOVE them. They are my role models in all aspects of life. I especially admire their marriage and the loving relationship they've shared for over fifty years. I'm planning on driving down to St. Louis to visit them and spend weekends watching good movies, cooking delicious food, shopping for antiques,  and sharing stories and pieces of our lives with each other. If only we lived closer.... (sigh).

We had lunch at Cafe Luna which was quite frankly some of the best food I've ever had. If you're ever in the Champaign-Urbana area, I highly recommend trying it for yourself.

xoxo,
