When it comes to Chicago music festivals, Lollapalooza seems to overshadow the rest due to its size and popularity. Personally, I'm a fan of PITCHFORK Music Festival held in Union Park July 15-17. With only three stages, its much smaller than Lollapalooza meaning less crowds and a more intimate music experience (so intimate, in fact, we met Patrick Stickles from Titus Andronicus last year) More importantly, its muuuuccchhhh less expensive. I paid $115 for a three day pass as compared to $185 Early Bird or $215 for three day general admission to Lolla. Last but not least, it has a much better 2011 LINEUP than Lollapalooza's LINEUP.
