Tuscany

If I could, I would sell all my possessions and move to Tuscany, Italy. I'd settle in a quaint abode atop a hill overlooking vineyards and rolling hills. I'd do my laundry with a washboard and basin and hang everything to dry. I'd till some land and plant a vegetable garden containing everything from herbs to squash. I'd make pasta and tiramisu from scratch (as pictured above) and get around town on my vintage bicycle.

This is my daydream on a late September afternoon.

What's yours?

Labor Day in Long Grove

On Labor Day we all piled into the Saturn as Jack navigated us northbound to Long Grove, IL. He sprays communities composed of multimillion dollar estates and was eagerly anticipating a role as tour guide for the spectacular views. I think he secretly just wanted some of the delicious apple donuts pictured above (of course he wouldn't let me photograph him). All in all it was a lovely day — to top it off, there was a cool breeze reminiscent of the quickly approaching autumn. I can't wait for colorful leaves and cozy sweaters.
