in my mind, i live here. i wake up in the morning and throw on my boots. still in my pjs, i venture out for some wood. i make a fire. i cook breakfast and brew coffee. i note the dew on the grass and the quiet stillness of the early morning. i think about all the possibilities the day could bring. they are endless.
i am completely obsessed with Brian Ferry's work. everything he posts over at the blue hour is exceptional - the music, links, content and mainly his photography {as seen above}. he is an expert at capturing still moments [that often go unnoticed or unappreciated] and making them the most magical scene you've ever laid eyes on. i feel like i am in his photographs, reflecting on my life.
I've been passionate about home birthing ever since a good friend of mine shared with me the details of her experience. The more research I do, the more I trust in nature and the natural process and see what a miracle giving birth truly is. Who would want to miss out on such an incredible experience because of unnecessary medications and procedures?!? This documentary trailer is rather inspiring - I want everyone to see it.
Back in November, Nick and I took a little trip down to St. Petersburg, FL. It was the perfect combination of fun and relaxation. The best part was getting to spend some quality time together - something that has been rare in past months due to our hectic schedules. Here are a few black and whites from a morning stroll on the beach.
